Quilt with Judy

 (formerly Quilt Sitters Circle) meets July 14th at Habermann Park, 180 Fair St., in Lodi, Wi.  

This group is open to anyone.  Cost is $28 for 3 meetings - July 14, Sept 8 and Nov 10.   Individual meetings are $12. 

An afternoon group meets at 1:30 and an evening group at 6:30pm.  (*except for the picnic).

Our annual picnic is July 14th at Haberann Park, 180 Fair St, Lodi, Wi.  *Picnic starts at 12:30 or 6pm.  The last two meetings of the year (Sept 8 and Nov 10th) meets at Spring Creek Business Center, 113 S Main St, Lodi.  

A new quilt pattern, designed by Judy, will be given out at each meeting.

New products are highlighted and announcements of interest for quilters are given as well. This is followed by a "show and tell" of members projects which always proves to inspire the group.

Village Creek Quilts is two doors away from our meeting place and will be open prior to each meeting.  Other points of interest in Lodi are Cottage House Primitives, Sunfall on Main, Lodi Valley Resale, Three Bats in a Belfry and Nancy's Floral.  Remember. . . Support your local quilt shop!!

"HANDMAIDENS" (formerly Folk Art) meets six times over the course of a year.  The last three meetings are Mon, Aug 31 - Mon Oct 26 and Mon, Dec 2.  We meet at 1015 20th St, Prairie du Sac, Wi.
 10am through 8:30pm.   Come and go as you can.

The  year is focusing on pieced fan blocks, embellished with hand embroidery.  The Aug. meeting will introduce a wool table mat - featuring fall leaves.  Bring a background 17" x 31" and various scraps for your leaves.

 WOOL APPLIQUE             Fri, July 31    12:30-4     $28 or $35 with kit

LEARN the ins and outs of working with wool.   How to handle it, what to look for, fusible webbing, threads and stitches.  You will work on a small flower motif that can be made into a pincushion or used to embellish something larger.

 LOG CABIN SAMPLER  RETREAT       Fri, Oct 9 & 10   9am-10pm Fri/9-4 Sat.

This log cabin quilt has appeal for a new quilter as well as the experienced.  We'll be working on several different log cabin blocks -- from the traditional to cornerstones, chevron, flying geese and courthouse steps.  Bring your fabrics and pj's for two days of fun.   Continental breakfast and lunch provided both days.  Stay at our local hotel in Sauk City or sleep at home if you live close by.    $90

Quilters, are you overwhelmed by the words create and design?  Do you have the confidence to make a quilt without a pattern?   If this sounds intimidating, come and gain the skills to start "stepping out of the box".  

Join this class to build your confidence and learn how to think!   You will take a simple block or two and learn how to make the decisions o create your own quilt and make a pattern to follow.  I will also show you the many possibilities of what can be done with one idea and how to expand on that with sue simple tricks of design and math.   **If you need a refresher from the It's OK class or Judy's Tall Grass Quilters, this will surely help hone those skills.   *You may bring your lunch or we will order Papa Murphys pizza.
