Quilt with Judy

(formerly Quilt Sitters Circle) meets Jan 14th, Mar 11, May 13, July 8, Sept 9 and Nov 11.   Afternoon meeting 1:30 and evening meeting at 7pm.

A new quilt pattern, designed by Judy, will be given out at each meeting.

New products are highlighted and announcements of interest for quilters are given as well. This is followed by a "show and tell" of members projects which always proves to inspire the group.

During our year, you will have the option of working on a medallion quilt, with a new border given at each meeting.  The Jan. meeting will introduce this project and explain how big to make the center.

"WOOL FOLK ART"  meets six times over the course of a year, with meetings on  Wed., Feb 19, Apr 16, Jun 18, Aug 20, Oct 15 and Dec 10. An afternoon group will meet from 1-4pm and evening group  6-9pm.

The  year will begin with a Celtic alphabet that can be made into several different projects, followed by a tote bag, a pillow with stylized leaf pattern, a skinny table mat, wool stocking and a small decorative pouch  that could be used to hold a dried arrangement, small feather tree, etc.  All patterns are included and designed by Judy.

This is a new club that will meet fours times during the year:
March 20, Jun 19, Sept 18 and Dec 9.  Meetings will be from 1-4 or 6-9pm.   Patterns using 60 degree piecing (equilateral triangles, hexagons, diamonds and more) will be featured, beginning with the easiest patterns and working up to more intricate designs.

These quilts are very intriguing. . . looking more complex than they are to sew and sometimes creating optical illusions.  The designs are perfect for reproduction quilts or for the more modern look.
