Judy's Quilting Philosophy
Judy is committed to "quilting smart" -
that is thinking and then quilting. Judy has attended numerous workshops
and seminars with nationally-known quiltmakers, concentrating mostly
on the techniques of Mary Ellen Hopkins, author of "It's Okay
to Sit On My Quilt". Judy teaches that you can look at just about
any quilt and figure out how to make it, taking it from block to finished
quilt-knowing how to make decisions for piecing, size quilt or block
you want, strips to cut and how much fabric to buy.

While Mary Ellen was Judy's inspiration, Judy has
inspired many quilters to challenge themselves to reach beyond their
level of quilting comfort. Judy's main goals in teaching are to help
even the most novice quilter realize that he/she can create a very
personal heirloom while having fun along the way, and...most of all,
while making lasting friendships!
